The advertised prices on this page run from A$90 to A$265, and that spread tells you almost nothing useful. Two of the cheapest tours here do not go to Scenic World at all, one of the mid-priced ones leaves you at Sydney Olympic Park to buy your own ferry ticket home, and three of the six do not feed you. Scenic World's own day pass is A$64 and a Katoomba lunch is about A$25, so the gap between a A$210 tour and a A$251 tour can close completely once you have paid for the things the cheaper one left out.
So we have compared these on what the ticket actually covers, verified against each operator's own website in August 2026 rather than the resale listings, which are frequently out of date. Two things worth knowing before you read on. First, this is an early start: five of the six leave the city between 6:25am and 7:35am, and the ones that leave earliest do so specifically to reach the Three Sisters before the big coaches. Second, one operator on this list does not carry children under 14, and two will not let you bring a pram, a walker or luggage. Those are the details that ruin a booking, and they are not on the price tag.

The most reviewed Blue Mountains tour in the country by a distance, and the only one on this page where 'all inclusive' survives a reading of the fine print. Scenic World entry with all three rides, a wildlife park, a chef-prepared lunch and the ferry home are all in the fare, on a 20-seat bus capped at 18 to 20 guests. It is the most expensive tour here, and once you add Scenic World and lunch to the cheaper options it stops looking that way.

The best-rated operator in this category and the one built around a single idea: leave before everyone else. Its first pickup is 6:25am, earlier than anything else here, explicitly so that the group reaches the lookouts ahead of the full-size coaches, and it is back in the city by 4:30pm rather than 5:00pm or later. Scenic World entry, all three rides, the wildlife park and national park fees are in the fare. Lunch is not, which is the one thing that does not match its price.

The cheapest genuinely complete day here, because it does not buy tickets to anything. There is no Scenic World and no zoo. What you get instead is a 90-minute to two-hour guided bush walk past several waterfalls, a fresh roll made that morning, a coffee stop at Glenbrook and a minibus rather than a coach. If you were going to skip Scenic World anyway, nothing else on this page comes close on price.

- A 90-minute to two-hour guided nature walk past multiple waterfalls, which is the most actual walking on this list
- A minibus, not a 50-seat coach, and a 7:30am departure rather than 6:25am

- No children under 14, stated by the operator. It says it can be flexible, so contact them, but do not book a family day here on the assumption it will be fine
- Scenic World, the zoo and the Sydney hotel circuit are all deliberately excluded. Adding Scenic World yourself is A$64 and this tour does not stop there, so it is not an upgrade you can buy on the day
- Drinks are not included, though lunch is. The operator suggests bringing a refillable bottle
- Pickup and drop-off are city meeting points only unless you are a large group
Best for: Walkers, backpackers and anyone who came for the bush rather than the rides.

The cheapest way onto a bus to the mountains, and the listing that needs the clearest warning. At A$90 you get the transport, an accredited guide, national park fees, the Three Sisters, a rainforest boardwalk and the Sydney ferry from Olympic Park to Circular Quay. You do not get Scenic World or Sydney Zoo: those sit on the operator's upgraded packages, so if either is why you are going, price the upgrade before you compare this fare with anything else here.

The highest-volume operator in this category and the only one here that picks you up at your hotel, which is worth real money if you are not staying in the CBD. It is also the longest day and the one with the most left off the ticket: no lunch, no hotel drop-off, and the ferry back to Circular Quay at your own expense from a 6:30pm finish at Sydney Olympic Park. Its rating sits a little below the rest of this list, on by far the largest sample.

- Hotel pickup from selected hotels, the only tour here that collects you rather than meeting you in the city
- All three Scenic World rides, national park fees and GST stated in the fare
- The operator's own site lists entry to Featherdale Wildlife Park as included, with time to feed kangaroos before the crowds
Know before you book
- The tour finishes at 6:30pm and the ferry from Sydney Olympic Park to Circular Quay is at your own expense, as is getting from the wharf back to your accommodation. Budget an Opal fare and an extra hour
- Lunch is not included. There is a stop in Leura, so bring about A$25
- The operator's own site lists Featherdale entry as included but the booking listing's inclusions do not mention it. Confirm at booking if the wildlife park is the reason you are going
- 11.5 hours by the operator's own count, against 10 hours on the booking listing. It is the longest day here either way
Best for: Travellers staying outside the CBD who want the door-to-door pickup and don't mind a long day.

Is Scenic World included in the price?
It depends on the operator, and this is the single biggest reason these fares look so different. Anderson's Tours, Diamond Tours, FJ Tours and Chapman Tours all state Scenic World entry and all three rides in the fare. Coast Warriors explicitly excludes it and spends the day walking to waterfalls instead. Oz Trails includes it only on its upgraded options, not on the base fare we quote. Scenic World's own Unlimited Discovery Pass is from A$64 adult, so add that to any tour that leaves it out before you compare.
Which tours actually feed you?
Three of the six. Anderson's includes a chef-prepared lunch with vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free options. Coast Warriors includes a fresh roll or wrap made that morning. Diamond Tours sells the tour in two versions, with and without lunch. FJ Tours, Chapman Tours and Oz Trails all leave lunch to you, generally at a stop in Leura or Katoomba, where you should budget roughly A$20 to A$30.
Do these tours come back by ferry, and is it included?
Several finish with a cruise down the Parramatta River to Circular Quay, which is a genuinely good ending to the day. It is included in the fare with Anderson's, Diamond Tours and Oz Trails. FJ Tours is the one to watch: its own listing states the ferry ride back to Circular Quay is at your own expense and that the tour finishes at 6:30pm, so you are buying an Opal fare and finding your own way from the wharf.
How early do they leave?
Earlier than most people expect. Chapman Tours' first pickup is 6:25am at the Sheraton Grand and its last is 6:50am at the Four Seasons. Anderson's runs 6:45am to 7:05am across three points, Diamond Tours 6:40am to 6:55am, Oz Trails from 6:45am. Coast Warriors is the civilised one at 7:30am from Haymarket, and FJ Tours picks up between about 7:00am and 8:10am depending on your hotel. The early departures are deliberate: they are how the small operators reach Echo Point before the full-size coaches do.
Are children and prams welcome?
Not universally, and this catches families out. Coast Warriors states it does not carry children under 14, though it invites you to contact them because it can be flexible. Anderson's Tours and Diamond Tours both state that wheelchairs, whether collapsible or electric, walkers, prams and luggage cannot be carried. If you are travelling with a small child or you are checking out of your hotel that morning, confirm before you book rather than at the kerb at 6:45am.
Is a tour better than taking the train?
For a lot of people, no. A return Opal fare to Katoomba is capped at A$9.65 on a weekend, and Echo Point and Scenic World are both close to the station, so a confident independent traveller can do the headline sights for about A$73.65 all in. A tour earns its money when you want more than two sites, when someone in the group cannot walk far, or when a wildlife park is on the list. What about the weather?
It is the most underrated factor on this page. Katoomba sits about a kilometre above sea level and is routinely colder, wetter and cloudier than Sydney on the same morning, and low cloud can hide the Three Sisters completely. Check the Katoomba forecast rather than the Sydney one, take a warm layer in any season, and if you have a choice of days, keep the clearer one for the mountains. No operator refunds you for cloud.
