You are in the air for roughly an hour of that. Plan the rest of your day accordingly, and stay in the city rather than the suburbs the night before.
What happens if the weather cancels it?
You reschedule; you do not simply lose the money. Global Ballooning states that a weather cancellation triggers an email with a link to rebook on an alternate date. Ballooning is cancelled more often than most activities because it needs light and stable wind at ground level, so if you have only one morning free in Melbourne, understand that you are taking a real chance on it.
